How did we find out we had this interest?

I've sort have always known I liked different things but the spanking and caning came from a film called "tom sawyer" i think back in the 70s, he takes the cane in front of the whole class for a girl who was passing notes and got caught, she was visibly shaking, Excellent scene, I was mesmerised, I've sought out fetish films ever since even going to spanking parties as a switch. A combination of things combined, I think, Kids nooks and comics as previously mentioned. A spanking scene in a John Wayne Western. And the common place use of rulers and canes at school. Knowing girls were getting it fired my imagination. Never said anything though - did not want to be perceived as weird because that would be social death. It was discovering spanking mags as a student that made me realise that I may be weird but I wasn't the only one.

CP was prevalent when i was growing up both at home and school and attending schools mostly run by religious orders meant it was not rare. My earliest memory of being attracted to it was an old torn paperback i found which included descriptions of spanking scenes. I was hooked, but like others, i hid the interest till my mid twenties.
