Remembering Those We Have Lost
Remembering Those We Have Lost
There has been a discussion in Chat about those members who left this shore over the years, and are hopefully watching over us today. I thought this would be a good thread to share our memories of those we miss

Re: Remembering Those We Have Lost
Let's not forget Nobby, Frank Dale, Miss Foxxx who ran the parties which were taken over by Ouch, and probably our oldest member Caneum.
Sometimes people just disappear from the scene and one is left wondering whether they're all right, but even when we know about a death it would often be inappropriate for us to go to the funeral for reasons of privacy. But several of us attended Mrs Marker's funeral, and there's a tree planted in the grounds at Whitby in memory of another lovely lady no longer with us.

Re: Remembering Those We Have Lost
Master Pan died suddenly yet peacefully at home last year.
He came here to Ireland in July 2013, we married and lived happily ever after.
What a marvellous adventure we had!
Remembered and loved by his fairy forever.
tinks xxxx

Re: Remembering Those We Have Lost
London Tanner died in 2019. He wasn’t a regular in chat, but he was well known and well loved in the community, and provided many of us with our favourite implements.
He was an uncompromisingly hard player, and an uncompromisingly kind man.

Frankdale was a good friend , a gentleman and a friend to many, We played a few months before he was too ill to play any more , which we were both grateful for.I can still remember his smile that day. Glad to have met him and call him a friend , he will be missed by many
